Common Sense Media -    https://www.commonsensemedia.org/

According to Common Sense Media,"Kids today spend over 50 hours of screen time every week. The media content they consume and create has a profound impact on their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development."

Common Sense Media is a website that helps parents make smart media decisions for their families.  The world we live in today is constantly connected.  Kids have technology in their pockets that can connect to friends, family, social media applications as well as the internet. This connectedness is very powerful.  Along with that power comes the discussion of responsible use.  As Peter Parker - spiderman said, "With great power comes great responsibility."

The Common Sense Media website has parent sections dedicated to helping parents make an informed decision about movies, video games, television, books as well as social media use for your children.

This site is about the life balance of technology use and the family.

"Achieving a healthy approach to media and technology can make a big difference in kids’ lives today.  Kids who learn to use digital media wisely can accomplish amazing things — learn new skills, explore new worlds, build new ideas, and change the world." - Common Sense Media
